# CalmOn (캄온) — Online Temple Metaverse > CalmOn (캄온, meaning 'switch calm on') is a free online temple metaverse (온라인 절 · 온라인절 · 산사 메타버스): a Korean mountain temple you walk in 3D in a web browser (iOS and Android apps in preparation). It is a calm space, not a game: there are no scores, levels or competition. It includes the Memorial Garden (추모의 정원), where people remember a pet that has died with a memorial stone and a tree. The temple inside the app is named Handeungsa (한등사 · 一燈寺). Made by Hyperity Inc. (주식회사 하이퍼리티), Korea. - Website (play, no install): https://calmon-hyperity.web.app/ - About pages: https://calmon-hyperity.web.app/about/ (Korean), /about/en/, /about/ja/, /about/zh-hans/, /about/zh-hant/ - Also searched as: online temple, temple metaverse, Buddhist temple online, virtual templestay, meditation, pet memorial (온라인 절, 온라인절, 산사, 메타버스, 사찰, 불교, 명상, 템플스테이, 힐링, 소원, 반려동물 추모) - In-game languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese - Price: free. The first release has no ads and no in-app purchases. - Trailer: the about pages open with a short muted loop of real in-game footage (night walk along the lanterns, meteor shower with wishes rising as stars). ## Places - Great Buddha courtyard (큰 부처님 앞): the starting point, a great seated Buddha on the mountain. A forest path climbs from the One-Pillar Gate past the Heavenly Kings Gate, lotus pavilion and bell pavilion; there is a lotus pond with a pavilion and stepping stones, and a stone arch bridge (홍예교, called the Rainbow Bridge) over the valley. - Lotus Temple (연꽃 절): a path across lotus fields to a Great Hall, with a teahouse, pavilion and templestay hall. - Ginkgo Temple (은행나무 절): a valley forest path to a Main Hall in front of a thousand-year ginkgo tree, with a bell pavilion and teahouse. - Seaside hermitage (바닷가 암자) and hillside rest stop (뒷산 쉼터). - Lantern Yard (연등 마당): a night temple courtyard under hundreds of lotus lanterns with nonstop club music (CC BY tracks). Jump on the beat to rise higher each time — above the lanterns, over the mountains, up to space — where a gentle message appears in your language. No scores; a board shows today's highest jumps of people present. - Seasons follow the Korean calendar: blossoms, summer green, autumn leaves, snow. ## What people do - One-tap gestures: join palms (합장), bow (절), moktak (목탁), prayer beads (염주), sit. - Strike the temple bell, light wish candles and lotus lanterns, water your own tree once a day, carry a daily fortune pouch. - Moments at set times (Korea Standard Time): dawn moktak round 06:00, great lotus 07:30 and 17:00, evening bell 18:00, meteor shower 20:00 and 22:00 (you can send up a one-line wish). - Photo sharing: portrait / story / wide frames, shared as a card with the place and date; the link opens at that spot. - Others present are visible, but only set greetings can be exchanged (no free chat between people). ## Memorial Garden (추모의 정원, formerly 무지개 숲 / Rainbow Forest) — pet memorial - Under the meeting tree, call your pet with one photo, its species (dog or cat) and a name. A memorial stone showing the photo, name, years together and one line takes its place along the garden path, with a tree growing beside it. - Visitors can leave a candle, flowers or a short note. The owner can invite family to remember together. - Memorial stones and trees never wither or disappear. - Photos are redrawn on the device to remove location and camera data before upload, and are deleted with the pet or the account. ## AI conversation - "Ask the Buddha" (부처님께 여쭙기) at the great Buddha and short talks with your pet in the Memorial Garden, a few times per day. - Replies are generated with Google Vertex AI (Gemini). Message text is used only to create the reply and is not stored on the server; only a daily count is kept. - Messages showing crisis are answered with Korean helpline information (109) instead of an AI reply. ## Privacy and accounts - Play as a guest without personal details; optionally link Google or Apple to keep records across devices. - Delete account and data in Settings → Account, or at https://hyperity-games.web.app/account/delete - Privacy policy: https://hyperity-games.web.app/legal/privacy.html - Support: https://hyperity-games.web.app/support.html (jkh@hyperitycorp.com)
